MAFSI Reps know North America
The independent MAFSI Manufacturers' Representative (aka MAFSI Rep) in the foodservice industry takes an aggressive pride in their region/territory and they invest, literally, their whole lifetime in it.
Factory-employed salespeople come and go in a territory. The better they are, the quicker they change. Constant change. That’s the complaint expressed most often by frustrated dealer distributors: “Just when the factory-employed salesperson gets to know us and our special needs, they’re off to a new, more lucrative position.”
Not so with a MAFSI Rep. The better they are, the longer they stay and serve and succeed in their region.
Their territory is their whole world! They have been around, in that same region, for most of their life. They don’t plan to leave it-ever.
They have built their customer base with meticulous care. They group their product mix with their customer mix. They provide their factories and their customers with the kind of synergism that cuts out waste and inefficiency.
Their capacity for multiple-line selling provides cost effectiveness and cost efficiency to both their manufacturers and their customers.
The MAFSI Rep is the mainstay of the marketplace they serve. They’re the professionals and the local experts. They provide the manpower and the skills and the determination to succeed. They take all of these assets, and they build their business under the most compelling of incentives:
“We don't get compensated for our efforts unless and until we sell something.”
That is why the MAFSI Rep takes such aggressive pride in their region/territory and why they invest, literally, their whole lifetime in it and why they do everything in their power to build those sales.
Their territory is their domain. They guard it with their reputation.
And they will never leave the territory--except in the hands of those they have trained to serve it as solicitously as they have during their lifetime.
